GNARBOX Remote SD Card Backup Solution

If you're going to be at a remote location, with little access to power, and need to back up your SD cards from your camera, GoPro, or other recording devices, look no further than the GNARBOX.  Although the site claims it can edit 4k video in the field, what we have found its best use is for strictly dumping your SD cards, reformatting them, and backing up files.  It holds 128G of data but also can hook up to your portable HD and offload files to them so it expands much farther.

It's weather resistant case is a bonus if your around water or snow and it seems rugged enough to take on almost any safari or fishing expedition.   If you're tired of lugging your heavy laptop around in the field when all you really use it for is dumping your data at the end of a long day of shooting, check out the GNARBOX solution and please share with us your feedback.  We are going to further field test the GNARBOX in Kamchatka Russia in early September where we will be unplugged for the world, no cell, no internet, and put it through some rigorous testing.  Stay tuned and we'll show you how it did.
