ADAM PEREZ | ENGINEER LA DWP

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Adam Perez has been fishing since he was 4 years old.   He was taught how to fish by his dad and the crew of the Ranger 85 Sport fishing boat on the fishing grounds of the Channel Islands.  Throughout his childhood, high school and college there wasn’t a weekend or summer that passed that Adam Perez was not fishing.  During graduate school at the University of Washington, Adam Perez took both a fly fishing and fly tying course at the University. These classes changed Adam Perez’s fishing world forever, and opened up a whole new world of learning and fishing challenges. Through fly fishing, Adam Perez has visited some amazing places such as, Finnish Lapland, the Norwegian Fjords, and Alaska.

Currently Adam Perez lives in Southern California and work as an engineer for the City of Los Angeles.  His enjoyment and passion for Fly Fishing have allowed him to take advantage of the amazing waters off of the SoCal coastline.  On most weekends, you can find Adam Perez chasing calico bass, yellowtail, bonitos and barracudas on the fly, off his 18 foot center console skiff.  One of Adam Perez’s passions in fly fishing is the art of fly tying. He has been recognized as an innovative fly tyer and is often asked to participate in local fly fishing shows and programs.

As a family man with three children, Adam Perez has already started teaching his kids his passion for fly fishing. With the help and support of his fly fishing Norwegian Wife, Linda Perez it is certain that the next generation of fly fishing Perez’s will be awesome.
